European 60m hurdles leader Quique Llopis will seek to get a home soil win in Madrid, at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting on 22 February at CDM Gallur.

Earlier this season, Spain’s Llopis claimed his first-career World Indoor Tour Gold triumph at the INIT Indoor Meeting in Karlsruhe and set a European lead of 7.55 – the #3 in the world in 2023.

In 2022, the 22-year-old hurdler had a breakout season. Indoors, Llopis finished in second place in Karlsruhe and Madrid – both World Indoor Tour Gold meetings.

Outdoors, he was seventh at the European Championship 110m hurdles final, reached the World Athletics Championship semifinals and clocked the third-fastest Spanish time ever with 13.30.
